Erath High 2024 Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame Induction will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024. The Erath Hall of Fame will induct Drew Carlin, Jamie Peltier Hebert, and Jacob Domingue on Thursday, October 17, 2024. It is at 7:00 p.m. at the Erath Community Center. It is free and open to anyone who wants to attend.

Drew Carlin

Drew Carlin, a 2004 Erath High graduate, is being inducted into the Erath High School Hall of Fame for his achievements in baseball, football, cross county, basketball, and track.

Track Career

In 2001, as a freshman, Drew placed 2nd in District in both the 800 and 1600M run, first in regionals, and third in state. In 2002, in Class 3A, he placed 19th at the state cross country meet. In 2004, he placed second in the 400 M run, 2nd in the long jump, and 3rd in the 1600M run.

Football

During his sophomore year in 2002, Drew earned 6-3A first team and all-district, as wide receiver. The following year in 2003, he was named to the 1st team all-district as a wide receiver, as well as an All-State honorable mention wide receiver. He was also named to the All-State wide receiver team. His career recordings of 1554 yards receiving was broken in 2023. His single game receptions with 11, were tied in 2017 and 2023, respectively.

Basketball

In 2003, Drew was All-District honorable mention, second team.

Baseball

In both 2003 and 2004, he was named the second team Honorable Mention pitcher.

Other athletic honors for Drew in record holdings are:

•18 touchdown catches and 1554 yards receiving were held until 2023.

•His single season catches of 40, 9 TDs, and 831 yards receiving, were held until 2022.

•In 2004, he was nominated for the Louisiana Wendy's Heisman Award and 3A All-State Academic Award.

After graduation from high school Drew, went to Bossier City Community College where he played on the baseball team. He went on to ULL and received a nursing degree. He received his Masters Degree from TCU as a Nurse Anesthetist in 2014. He then worked at LGMC for 2 years. Since 2015, he has been at Ochsner Medical Center in Lafayette, in that capacity.

Drew is the son of Donna and Joey Carlin of Erath, Louisiana. He is married to Pamela Carlin and they have two children Ava who is nine, and Emory, who is 6, who both attend Saint Pius Elementary School in Lafayette. They are expecting Archie on October 23, 2024.

Drew shared that his role model growing up was 2008 Erath High Hall of Famer, Brian Bubba Carlin.

JAMIE PELTIER HEBERT

Jamie Peltier Hebert, an Erath High 2000 graduate is being inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame for her remarkable achievements in softball, basketball, track, and cross country.

SOFTBALL

In her freshman year, Jamie was a starting outfielder on the 1997 District Championship and state semifinalist team. In her sophomore year, she made 2nd team All-District, and 1st team all-parish team. In her junior year, she was named to the 1st team All District and 1st team All Parish teams. She was also voted into the Daily Iberian’s Best of the Teche Team. Again in her senior year, she was a member of the 1st team All District and 1st team all parish teams. She was voted again into the Daily Iberian Best of the Teche Team. Jamie had a senior year batting average of .447.

BASKETBALL

In her junior year, she was named to the Honorable Mention All District and All Parish teams. She played on the District Runner up/Bi-District Championship team. As a senior, she was named to the 2nd team All-District and 1st team all parish teams. Jamie’s average was 15 points per game her senior year.

TRACK

As a freshman, Jamie was a regional qualifier in the 1600M and 3200M runs, respectively. She didn’t participate her sophomore year, but in her junior year, she was District Runner up in the 800 M run. As a senior, Jamie was District Runner up in the 800M Run, and a member of both District Champion mile relay and State qualifier team.

Jamie’s 800M record of 2.29.62 set in 1999 was broken after 25 years with a new record of 2:29.49, which is a mere .13 of a second.

CROSS COUNTRY

As a cross country runner, Jamie was named in the top 10 District wise. She was nominated as the Vermilion Parish athlete of the year.

Jamie is married to Chad Hebert of Erath. They have been married 20 years and have 10 year old fraternal twins, Kye and Ahna who attend LeBlanc Elementary.

Her parents are Tina and Bradley Peltier and she has two siblings, Jeremy Peltier and Joni Peltier Faulk.

After high school, Jamie went on to LSUE and received her Associate Degree in Business Administration. She has worked for the Lemoine Company for the past 21 years, where she serves as regional director of preconstruction.

JACOB DOMINGUE

Jacob Joseph Domingue will be inducted into the Erath High School Hall of Fame for his significant performances in both football and track.

FOOTBALL

Jacob was the starting offensive tackle for the Bobcats for 4 years. In 2006, he was chosen to lead the Bobcats as their team captain. That year he made Second Team All-District and First Team All Parish, as a defensive tackle.

TRACK AND FIELD

In track and field, Jacob made his mark at Erath High School. He was voted outstanding Vermilion Parish Field male performance in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

In 2005, Jacob was the runner up in District 6-3A for the shot put, as well as the Vermilion Parish shot put and discus champion.

Again in 2006, he was the Vermilion Parish shot put and discus champion, as well as, the District 6-3A runner up for the discus. That year, he was also the District 6-3A shot put champion, the LHS Regional shot put champion, the LHSAA State shot put champion, the Outdoors LHSAA State shot put champion, and the Indoor LHSAA State shot put champ.

In 2007, Jacob was again, the Vermilion Parish shot put and discus champion, District 6-3A shot put champion, Regional shot put runner up for LHSAA. He took 3rd place in the shot put at the LHSAA Indoor Meet, and the runner up in the LHSAA Outdoor Meet.

He was voted as team captain for the Erath High Track and Field team in 2007.

During his time at ULL, he lettered four years in track and field. He was runner up in the shot put at the indoor and outdoor Southland Conference numerous times. In 2011, he was the Outdoor Sun Belt Conference Champion.

He qualified for three years in the NCAA Regionals and in 2011, he qualified for the USA Track and Field Championships.

He still competes in weight lifting competitions.

Jacob graduated from ULL with a BS in Business Administration. He and his wife Hollie, reside in Maurice. They have five children. Kennedy, Scarlette, Gabriel, Veda, and Corban. His parents are Tommy and Tammie Domingue. His siblings are Hali Reaux and Canen Ryder.

Jacob is an Operations Manager for Superior Services and Specialty Company.

He shared that the most influential people have been Toby Thomas, his wife, Hollie, his dad, and Dr. Frederick Hannie.
