Congratulations to Erath High’s own Amy LeBlanc!
Mrs. Amy's post
So my friend Andrea Buchanan McFarlain from Sulphur High School Educators Rising texted me the first pic in this post this morning from DC and asked if I knew about this!!!!!! I immediately zoomed in to see it’s MY NAME on the big screen at the NATIONAL Educators Rising conference in Washington DC under the heading “Educators Rising Champion Teacher Leader Division.”
YALL!!!! I had NO CLUE!! I won this
prestigious NATIONAL award I didn’t even know existed!!!!!! Thank you so much to Dr. Aimee Hardy Barber and UL Lafayette Educators Rising for nominating me. (Her nomination letter is the second pic posted below.)
Working with Ed Rising is truly one of the top JOYS of my career, and it has been such a blessing for me personally and professionally…. I’ve always loved my job and building relationships with students, but this program has poured into me in ways that are difficult to even describe!! It is an honor to spread the good news about what I truly believe is the best profession in the world and recruit the best and brightest young people to join us as colleagues!!!
Being able to sit at the table with so many wonderful, passionate, compassionate, dedicated and driven educators has inspired me in our mission to grow the next generation of teachers in our state and SHIFT THE NARRATIVE about public education!!! Huge shout out to all my Louisiana Ed Rising MARIGOLDS
for all of the awesome work we are doing together!
I am honored and humbled to represent our state! I love you all!!!
