-August 5, 2024-Meet and Greet 2024 ***NOTE: Time changes! Meet and Greet will be on August 5, 2024-PreK-5th grade. Names A-L 5:15-5:45, M-Z 6:00-6:30. Students will bring supplies and meet their new teacher!
-August 8, 2024-1st Day of School for grades 1-5
-August 8, 9, 12th, 2024 PreK and K Screening-August 8th, 9th, and 12th - Individual testing dates and times should have been mailed to you (or will be).
-August 8, 2024-Mandatory PreK Parent Meeting at 10 am.
Kindergarten students will have orientation during their child’s testing meeting.
-August 9, 2024-Friday Spirit Day! NOTE: See new guidelines below.
Changes for Friday “Spirit Days”. Students can wear DOZIER spirit shirts on Fridays with uniform bottoms. For $1.00, students can also wear full-length jeans or athletic pants with their uniform shirt, or DOZIER spirit shirts. Please note- students cannot wear shorts, skirts, skorts, leggings, tights, capris, or Bermuda shorts on Fridays for $1.00. This change will take place during the upcoming the 2024-2025 school year. BELTS-Belts worn must adhere to VPSB guidelines. Belts must be worn at all times in grades 1st-5th. Shirts must be tucked in at all times in grades 1st-5th. Friday Spirit Shirts: Only Dozier Elementary school spirit shirts are allowed.

-August 15, 2024-First day with all PreK and K students.
